Community Health Expo Case Study
Aurora Health Expo: Adding Interaction to an Information-Rich Community Event
Sage Health Strategy organized the Aurora Health Expo around health services, education, wellness activities, and community resources. Dale’s role was to add an approachable, interactive element that could engage attendees and vendors across age groups without competing with the event’s health-focused purpose.
The Event Need
Make a Health-Focused Expo Feel Welcoming and Participatory
The Aurora Health Expo brought together free health screenings, immunizations, health education, wellness activities, food demonstrations, vendors, and community resources.
With so much practical information and so many services in one place, the organizers also wanted an engaging element that could work across age groups and add some social energy to the event.
The entertainment needed to support the expo experience without distracting from the health services and resources people came to use.
Dale’s Role
Give Attendees and Vendors an Easy Point of Interaction
Sage Health Strategy brought Dale into the expo as an interactive element that could move naturally within the event and connect with both attendees and vendors.
His balloon artistry, humor, and direct conversation gave people something lighter and more social to engage with while they moved between screenings, educational resources, wellness activities, and exhibitor areas.
Because the format worked across age groups, the entertainment could engage families and adults without turning the health expo into a children’s event.
Value to the Expo
Entertainment That Added Energy Without Taking Over the Event
The expo already had a clear purpose: connect the community with health information, services, screenings, and wellness resources. Dale’s role was to make the experience more interactive around that purpose.
All-Ages Interaction
The entertainment could engage children, families, and adults within the same community event.
Vendor & Attendee Engagement
Dale interacted with people throughout the expo, giving attendees and exhibitors another easy point of conversation.
Supported the Event Purpose
The entertainment added social energy while the screenings, education, and wellness resources remained the focus of the expo.
The Result
A Health Expo With More Ways for People to Engage
The original case study reports strong turnout, active participation in the health and wellness activities, and positive feedback from vendors and attendees about Dale’s presence.
No attendance or engagement measurements were provided, so the strongest supported conclusion is that the entertainment added an interactive layer to an event already built around community health services and education.
